San Vigilio di Marebbe

At the foot of the Kronplatz

The village of San Vigilio di Marebbe is 1201 meters above sea level, in Marebbe valley, a part of val Badia. It is a well-known holiday resort, both in summer and winter time. The village is immersed in a natural and cultural paradise, surrounded on one side by Plan de Corones, Piz de Plaies and Monte Sella summits and by Pares and Piz de Plaies summits on the other side.

In the village there is also the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park visitor center, where one can get useful insights into the nature and geology of Dolomites. The most adventurous guests will have fun on the “Zipline”, where to experience the emotion of flying while hanging on a steel rope.

We also recommend the visitors the beautiful parish church in Baroque style, located at the village center and dedicated to San Vigilio.

In San Martino in Badia, about ten minutes by car from San Vigilio, we recommend the “Ladin Museum”, that keeps many secrets about the Ladin history and culture.
