During the summer period the best of Val Badia is certainly its wonderful nature. San Vigilio di Marebbe is located near to one of Unesco's sites, the fascinating natural park of Fanes-Senes-Braies, that in 2009 has been recognized as part of the Natural World Heritage.
After just one excursion in this fantastic natural surrounding you will understand its inestimable value, that long time ago originated also legends about the population of Fanes.
From San Vigilio it is possible to take on alpine itineraries for each kind of difficulty, from iron roads (via ferratas) to crossings as the Dolomite High Route (Alta Via). Our country offers also numerous possible walkings that start from the town, as for example the “Trù dles Liondes”, a very interesting cultural itinerary based on local legends.
Beyond trekking it is also possible to go riding, to dedicate yourself to climbing, to your mountain bike or to other numerous sports activities in the majestic Dolomites.
